Dear Experts:

i have 2 servers running SQL 2005 the first one is acting as a Procipal and the second has two instances installed (the mirror + the witness).

I dont have a domain so i am using certificates ,i have used this example from microsoft so set up the certificates with endpoints :

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms191140.aspx

every thing seems perfect ,i followed the instructions line by line.

when trying to set up the principal for mirroring i get this error on the mirrored server :

Message
Database Mirroring login attempt failed with error: 'Connection handshake failed. The certificate used by the peer is invalid due to the following reason: The database principal has no mapping to a server principal. State 89.'.  [CLIENT: 10.10.10.10]

both servers can see and ping each other ,i used three different ports ,all are accessbile using telnet (telnet mirror 7025)

i also modified the hosts file on the two servers ,i am sure there's no network issue.

what might be the problem here?
