There seems to be a general rule that &quot;block size should match average record size&quot;. &nbsp;In managing many databases I tend to side with keeping them standardized and simple, i.e. not having custom block sizes (and settings) for every possible tablespace and the like.<br />

The OS's in reference to this question are Windows 2003 Server 32 and 64 bit.<br />

1. How can I determine average record size?<br />
<br />
2. Can you offer any other lessons learned on Oracle block sizes? &nbsp;Any definite do's and dont's?<br />
