Can a Cisco ASA5505 support mutiple WAN IP's?
Hi - we use a Cisco ASA5505 and have two different ISP's at our office. We would like one to failover to the other as a backup (Cogent T1 has been giving weekly outtages). Can we set both WAN ip's into the router without effecting our internal gateway or internal settings? Basically I want this to be as hands off as possible. Thanks!

jfredrick, I guess by creating a second vlan you mean trunk multiple vlans to the interface? I think we are saying the same thing here.

Well, not trunking, just using a second VLAN for a second/different interface on the ASA which can be used for backup.
I see that now, good catch.

You only have one physical outside interface and the 5505 does not support security contexts. If there was a switch upstream from you, you could trunk multiple vlans to it, these vlans could contain the network traffic for your 2 ISPs, but either way. you are going to need another device either a router or a switch upstream.
