php & perl

Hi,
I need to learn php & perl....

I will not close this question till my goal is achieved...I mean i need a lot to learn from masters here...

First tell me a single ,unique book for both because i'm going to concentrate only on this for one year.
I hope i will learn before it.
If u have any study material please give me....My idea is learning this for the next 6 months&start answering here for the rest.So that i can learn a lot.My learning must also be focussed on website designs,optimizations,fixing all web related problems...

Second help me installed these on my computer...I'm using windows & also like to know how is it installed in  linux....As i have poor knowledge in linux please tell me how to d it clearly...
