Easynote laptop screen going dark but only with customer

I have repaired a laptop with several issues, the main 1 being display very dark. Loose connection I believe. I have seen the fault myself but after repair (clean, and reseat) I could not recreate the error even with the customer. I have check other similar posts - it does not flicker (with me), it does not have a pink or blue hue with either of us. I can move the screen from closed or almost closed to open right back flat with flicker to prove fix to customer.
I have run upto 7 apps not including Internet connection and therefore MSN messenger which is the only difference I can think of between me using and testing it for two days and the customer using it for 10 mins before problems again. The bulbs seem ok and the cable between the monitor and board seem unbroken - Has anyone encountered this or have an idea what it may be? Any questions on system will be answered as best possible - I have lots of details/diags. Ihave just visited and apparently the fault has not occurred today and I have checked it for more than an hour - then I submitted this using the "faulty" laptop - (Belkin g wireless 54 USB adapter).

Thanks Bigmak40 - The weird thing ids this does not seem to act like usual faults. Under sustained use (almost 2 days) I found nothing but then both erself and her dad ahs said they have it on startup or within 10 minutes of start. Apparently it did it again yesterday when I left (I was in their house for about 2hrs.).

Will collect it later today and check it again - Not sure what to look for or change now.
Cliff
I've had it now for almost 2 weeks and though it was as reported the fault was rectified by reseating both ends of the display cable and the fault cannot be replicated. I've tried rebooting, cold boots, every sort or start and re-start with no problem ( just confidence shook as to taking it back and having it re-occur.), I've had the screen shaken, and put back as far as possible with no flicker far less going completly black again. I don't know how they do it!!

I've purchased an inverter board but the customer may not pay for all the work and parts so I may lose out if I switch it, they're costly enough.
Still no answers or suggestions - I'll close this now then - Thanks BigMak

Just realised this contradicts what I meant - or even contradicts itself but they rebooted it minutes after I left and it reoccured that day. I have since collected it and cleaned the connections before reseating both ends as stated and the inverter is now available but was expensive for something I do not believe to be at fault.
Not the most sucessful posting but it was reasonable answer and you made the only effort.
