LexBce Service unable to start

Hi All...

I have a number of Windows XP machines that are unable to start the Lexmark LexBce service, which in turn means they are unable to print to any networked Lexmark Printer.

The issue started as a result of a Trojan that was found by Trend Micro Internet Security on the machines called TROJ Generic.ADV. Once the Trojan had been removed/cleaned up, the Print Spooler service would not start due to one of its' dependent services (LexBce) also not being started. After removing LexBce from the list of dependent services, Print Spooler was able to be started, and the printers were again visible...

except every networked Lexmark printer was then set to offline, and when I attempt to start the LexBce service, I recieve the following message

"Could not start the LexBce server on the local computer. Error 2: the system cannot find the file specified."

Reinstalling the Lexmark print drivers doesn't resolve the problem either.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the help, all is now working fine. In future I will steer clear of the Lexmark TCP/IP ports!
