I am new to this so forgive me if the terminology or question is correct.

I am using a PHP cURL application and I want to validate the specific domain SSL certificate which is installed on a site, i.e. use the certificate fingerprint and not just the CN - using the setopt ' CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST'.

Basically:

Is there an alternative to CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST?

How can I 'validate the SSL fingerprint'?

Any guidance would be appreciated.
