How to connect multiple VLANs between ProCurve switches

I plan to buy another ProCurve 5406ZL switch to expand our office network
Our current network setup on the swith is 2 vlans with their respective gateway
vlan1 = 172.16.2.0/23 gateway 172.16.2.1
vlan2 = 172.16.4.0/23 gateway 172.16.4.1

1/2 of the ports in the existing switch are assigned to vlan2
I want to connect 2 ports of the new switch to the existing switch using LACP for port trunking
I also want to assign 1/2 of the ports of the new switch to vlan2

how do i configure this using CLI? how to ensure the trunk carries different vlan traffic?
i need detail steps as not familiar with ProCurve
