Upgrading Virtual Center with a new .lic file
My Evaluation of Virtual Center has expired.
I spoke with VMware about extending my evaluation and they sent me the following files.
VCMS.lic, VI_SingleHost.lic, VI_Centralized.lic
What do I do with these files?
I've been through the Installation instructions a million times and it only talks about installing VirtualCenter.
I have the VMWare License Server installed.

Nevermind.
Can't tell what I did, maybe it was actually going into services and restarting the service.
Maybe it will someone else down the road but here's what my config looks like.
1. the three lic files got put into C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware License Server\Licenses
2. Go to Start>All Programs>VMWare License Server>VMWare License Server Tools
3. Make sure the first tab has "Configuration using Services"
4. Here's the kicker! Inside the VI Client go to Administration> Virtual Center Management Server Configuration...>UNCHECK "Evaluate" and choose "Use License services on this Virtual Center Server"
5. Go to Services and restart the Server service.
6. Go back into VI Client and right click your ESX servers, choose "connect"
Thanks, going to give you the points cause it helpped!

Hi Gwitek,
The reason why i skipped the details that you have mentioned is because you have updated that you already looked / referred the documentation. Thats exactly what is to be done and the information is available in the licensing documentation. So do excuse me for the oversight and not mentioning the details.

When you say "poing to these lic files" Is that done on the first tab (Service/License File) in the LMTOOLS program? There are two different buttons, "Configuration using License File" or "Configuration using Services", it was set to services by default.
Do I need to change it?
