Configuring SBS 2003 exchange for the iphone (enter netbios name or domain name)

i am trying to setup my sbs 2003 server to sync with exchange.

i followed these instructions here:  http://blog.monkeykit.com/2007/08/31/how-to-setup-imap4-exchange-2003-email-to-sync-with-your-iphone/

however, the instructions say the following:

In the Incoming Mail Server
Fill in the Host Name of your Weboutlook server. (Ie. owa.testserver.com)
Fill in the Username with your domain and username. (IE. TESTDOMAIN\USERNAME)
Fill in your password
In the Outgoing Mail Server
Fill in the Host Name of your Weboutlook server. (Ie. owa.testserver.com)
Fill in the Username with your domain and username. (IE. TESTDOMAIN\USERNAME)

my domain is abcclinic.local, but anytime you log onto a machine, the network is named SURGE under the username and password (which is the netbios name if i am not mistaken)

so when these instructions tell me  to enter TESTDOMAIN\USERNAME

should I type in abcclinic.local\username or SURGE\username?

any suggestions?

make sure IMAP is configured.
not sure why you have these two domain names abcclinic should be the domain you use if that is the domain on the server.
I would guess the workstation is still connected to some other (or old) domain)

i didn't build this network, but have asked this question before on here.
a reputable company built this network so they must have had a reason for it?
