Get error 0x80004005 when running regsvr32 on scrrun.dll

I am trying to figure out why the default Vista gadget "currency" gives me the error "Bad Number" in both edit fields.  Searching on the internet I found the following:

The FIX...
Open the Command Prompt with Administrator Priv's then run....
regsvr32 scrrun.dll
Press Enter. Similarly, run these two commands:

Remove the gadgets, close the gadget screen(exit the sidebar), and then re-add them.... It should fix the issue

Pls make sure you';re running the commands from an "elevated" Command Prompt, rather than a normal one.

tboy6423  -  I tried removing the gadgets, closing the side bar and repopulating the side bar with gadgets....same error in the microsoft currency gadget

srameshh2k - I am running the commands in the command window (the DOS window if you want)  When I ran the msxml3.dll with regsvr32  I get the followign error  "the module 'msxml3.dll' was loaded but the call to DIIRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070005
>> I am running the commands in the command window

Did you run it "elevated"?
Sramesh2k - yes now I did ;-)  and regsvr32 ran all the files noted in the link you gave me.  I then deleted all the gadgets and closed the sidebar.  Then I reopened the sidebar and loaded the Vista defaul currency gadget and I still have the same error "Bad number"

TBOY5423 - this is company PC.  A company that is migrating from Windows 2000 to Vista.  They are very security conscious.  But when I load other currency gadgets they work.  Before I run that program I will bring this up as a problem to IT support.
I had a discussion with our IT support and they are controlling the windows  firewall with group policy.  I guess enough people have not complained about (or don't use it) for them to make an exception.  Funny that all the other currency gadgets work just fine.
