Wake On LAN doesn't work
Hi,
I can't seem to get  Wol working on this ASUS P5LD2 motherboard. I have enabled the Wol settings on both the OS and the BIOS and it is not working. I have done this with other ASUS motherboards and they were OK. Can someone advice me what I need to chcek or the general procedure on troubleshooting the problem. I am running Windows 2000 server on this machine and it is using the onboard LAN. I saw some reference about enabling "power on by modem" in the bios on this motherboard for the Wol feature, but I haven't try it.
I know the driver properties is working within the OS as I enabled the wake up on shutdown feature and it works.
Thanks

Darr247,
I think the PS is ACPI 2 compatible as if I enabled "wake up when shutdown" in the advance setting of the NIC property in device manager, the system will power up even I issued a shutdown command. Are you talking about the LAN port LED, or its a Power LED by itself. I am going to check it whenever I have access to the server again.
I have the Power on by PCIE device enabled

It's a green LED on the motherboard near the USB headers, about where they used to put the SATA jacks (which are now mounted up 'higher' on the board, closer to the CPU end). If you have a window-side case you should be able to see it without removing any covers.
Just to keep you in the loop - we'll have an opportunity this weekend to try again and will update you accordingly.
