Unable to delete User Profile - Windows XP
I have a user who profile appears to be corrupted. We've backed up his data but when I go under System Properties - User Profiles, the Delete and Copy To button is grayed out for that user. For other users they are enable except for that 1 user. We are logged in as Admin.
So how else can we delete this user profile?

You could also try going to start> run> type in control userpasswords2> and see if you can delete the profile from there.

Brandon, there is a NTUSER.Dat file under the user profile. Its currently in use so you can't delete it that folder.
Gstump, I removed that user account from there but the user profile still exist and still can't delete it.

Yes the user was logged in hence the reason I couldn't delete the profile. Next time I remember to kick users off first.
User profiles create some problem at the time of deletion.
You can follow steps to delete it or normally you can use a microsoft utility. This is the user profile deletion utility.
delprof.exe
It also works on server and windows xp.
Please visit microsoft website and download the utility:

Just to add something that will hopefully help someone who comes across this:
I was about to download and run the delprof utility when I realized that I had some windows scheduled tasks setup to use the to-be-deleted account credentials. Once I changed the scheduled tasks username/passwords I was able to remove the account - the delete button was no longer grayed out.
