Hi,

From my backup exec 10d server, when i try to install a remote agent on a Windows 2003 64 bit standard editon server i get the following error:

remote installations to 64 bit computers are not supported.

please visit http://support.veritas.com/docs/269175 to view possible reasons why the remote installation cannot contiue.

With version 10 the remote agent installations of a 64 bit server are an issue

Do a local install instead ...
Copy the RANT 64 folder from C:\Program files\veritas\Backup Exec\NT\Agents on your backup server to the remote 64 bit server
and execute setupaa64.cmd
reboot the remote server after installation of remote agent
and check if the backup exec remote agent for windows server is present and started.
