Why registry? Have you tried just updating parameters in the Trust Center?

We can do that.  Our engineering teams want to set this by default for some of the reports from their development systems that export to XLS files I think.

which is why they want to set this in the registry instead of going in individually on the computers to configure in the trust center (sorry for the incomplete responses between the two)

So I found a solution here: http://www.gpanswers.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=2612

Here are the keys that the site mentioned:

CLASS USER

CATEGORY "Custom Office 2007 settings"
POLICY "Enable all Data Connections - Excel"
KEYNAME "Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Excel\Security"
VALUENAME "DataConnectionWarnings"
VALUEON NUMERIC "0"
VALUEOFF NUMERIC "1"
END POLICY
END CATEGORY

CATEGORY "Custom Office 2007 settings"
POLICY "Enable automatic update for all Workbook Links - Excel"
KEYNAME "Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Excel\Security"
VALUENAME "WorkbookLinkWarnings"
VALUEON NUMERIC "0"
VALUEOFF NUMERIC "1"
END POLICY
END CATEGORY

We're testing it now, but we were able to find this on Google after considerable searching...  Thanks everyone.
