To add column Names to the matrix Report in SSRS 2005


I have created  a matrix report in SSRS 2005 using report designer as given below.

               D1      D2  
a1 b1 c1 val11 val21  
a2 b2 c2 val12 val22  
a3 b3 c3 val13 val23  
a4 b4 c4 val14 val24  
a5 b5 c5 val15 val25  

Issue #1:  I have to display column headers for the first 3 column, how to do that?(like ColA, ColB, ColC)

Issue#2: I get an extra column dsiplayed at the end, the reason for that is there is a NULL value in the Column D , how to eliminate the extra column?

Any sort of pointers/suggestions would be highly appreciated.
I might have posted the same question in other site also, experts please don't point me  to that link.

If A1, B1, and C1 are your row groups then you simply click on the cell above them and type a description.  

To fix your issue with NULl values you can do two things.  Modify the query of your dataset to not include null values (WHERE table.field IS NOT NULL) OR go to the columns properties and enter and expression like this under visibility  =iif(isnothing(Fields!Fieldname.Value)),TRUE,FALSE)
