On our clustered SQL Server we have started receiving the following errors coming from all of our SharePoint servers every 30 minutes.

On the SQL Server we are getting the following errors:

Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 11.

and then immediately after the above mentioned error comes this particular statement

Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'. [CLIENT: IP Address].

On the SharePoint servers we get the following error corresponding to the above mentioned error time stamp:

Event Type: Error
Event Source:     Windows SharePoint Services 2.0
Event Category:   None
Event ID:   1000
Date:       30/09/2008
Time:       1:08:24 PM
User:       N/A
Computer:   SharePoint Server Name
Description:
#50070: Unable to connect to the database SharePointServername_config on SQLServerName.  Check the database connection information and make sure that the database server is running.

The SQL environment is SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition (64-bit) running on Win Server 2003 R2 SP2 and the SharePoint WSS 2.0 SP1 and SharePoint WSS 3.0 SP1 running on Win Server 2003 SP2.

Any help would be appreciated.
