I have eclipse classic installed in my office. Would like to use it to do PHP programming. I came to know about the PHP plugin for eclipse, PHPEclipse but its not working. I need to know in steps what should be done to run PHP programs in eclipse. Will it also require to install a server like Apache?

As far as I know, Eclipse is simply an IDE (Interface Development Envrionment). So basically it is for help with coding, not for testing if a page works. Installing Apache with PHP would be a good idea. Alternately, you could install IIS and PHP since you are running Windows, though Apache is better in my opinion.
