Exchange 2003 - Why not use an anitvirus tool on this server?
We have been experieincing many SMTP protocol sink errors and do have Mcafee's 8.5 enterprise running on this box.
We have added numerous exceptions to the scanner so the exchange portion does not get scanned.
I have done some research but found nothing to indicate why there should not be an antivirus tool running on an exchange box.
Is this a flaw in the programming of MS?
What is the preferred way of protecting an exchange box from viruses?
