Have Crystal Reports XI.  From Crystal report generates without problem but when Exporting Report to Excel get a "VC++ Runtime LIbrary runtime error Program......crw32.exe .  The application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way."  The other exports including Excel data only work without problems.  Have the problem using either the developer edition of Crystal or professional edition - have tried both and have uninstalled and resinstalled.  The version of hte crw32.exe is 11.0.0.1282 aand matches the other versions of the CR dlls.  Note system has VB 6 and VS 2005 installed.  Are there any know issues with CR XI and VB6 or VS 2005?

You need release 2 of CR XI to work with VS 2005.

CR XI Release 2 is 11.5.xxx

You probably need to contact Crystal to get it.  It has been on the Crystal site but I haven't seen the download since SAP took over.

You can download the free trial through this link
http://www.businessobjects.com/product/catalog/crystalreports/report_designer.asp

I believe your CR XI Release 1 license is all you need.  You shouldn't have to purchase a copy.

Thanks for the information - I'll try downloading the trial (comes up as CR2008).  What about any service packs for the existing release- would that solve the problem?

Downloaded CR 2008 per the link provided (30 day eval) and solved the problem.  Now will try to find release 2 upgrade - thanks!

CR 2008 is a different product and will require changes to your application

It will not work with VB6.
