Hi,

I am having teh following event logged every 10 to 15 seconds or so;

Event Type:      Error
Event Source:      Perflib
Event Category:      None
Event ID:      1023
Date:            9/30/2008
Time:            8:59:58 PM
User:            N/A
Computer:      SERVER1
Description:
Windows cannot load extensible counter DLL MSSCNTRS, the first DWORD in data section is the Windows error code.

Any help would be appreciated.

FYI I started recieving this after installing windows updates, what little infomation out there on this error i did correlate one of these to Windows Search, and I just happen to include Windows Search 4.0 as one of the Software updates, as soon as i removed this I stopped recieving this error.  Anyway that is what worked for me.

they errors i was getting every five minutes were (i recieved a total of 12 every five minutes some were duplicates)
