adobe acrobat 9 network redirect folder issue

I am having trouble running adobe acrobat 9 after installing it. i get a runtime error message when i try to start the program. Our application data and document folders have been redirected to our server. the program runs fine when we log the user in locally to their computer. only when we are logged in to the network do we have an issue.
How can i reconfigure so that it works when logged into the network?

abnormal program termination
