Cyber Defender uninstal

I have a PC that is running Windows XP Service pack 2. The owner inadvertantly installed cyber defender free on it. The Windows uninstaller will not remove it. Taking the program out of the start up group does not prevent it from running. I have done a search in the registry and removed all keys assosiated with the program only to have them come back. Does any one have or know of a permanent removal solution?

Try running Malwarebytes from malwarebytes.org in Safe Mode.
It's a free great utility.
You might also try:
www. superantispyware.com (free)
If that fails to remove it, download and run hijackthis and post the log file here for analysis.
You can get hijackthis from here:
http://www.merijn.org/programs.php
And if you want you can post the log file at hijackthis.de for free analysis.
Basically you are looking for items marked with question marks or red X's.
