How do I not send read receipts to email forwarded Exchange accounts

I am currently forwarding copies of email from selected accounts to a mailbox which is checked every so often. When someone sends an email asking for a receipt to any one of the accounts which has their mail being forwarded, the receipt says that this forwarding address got the message as well. Is there any way to make this not happen.
