Zipping files using vb6

Hello

My application is in Visual basic 6.0

The objective of my taks is to use the shell command and invoke zip.exe for a set of files.

Question
----------
1) Can I make this process blocking?
2) Can I zip files from the c:\windows\system32 folder?

Please let me know.

1), yes you can, _but_ you need to make sure the process that launches your process wait for it to finish!
2) as long as you have read access, sure

providing its your process launching the application, if you launch it with this your code stops executing until the process is finished
