I'm having trouble installing MSDE on Server 2003 SP2 RC2 Standard Edition in Virtual PC 2007.  It runs through the install but stops, rolls back and cancels without any dialog of error or warning.  The only logs I could find were in the event viewer.  Please see below.

Youi didn't say what version of MSDE you were trying to load; if v1 then it wont work.

It looks like version 1 - release A.  I've done some searching but was unable to locate any other versions of MSDE.

I don't think that will work; if you can't find v3 somewhere then you can move to SQL Express. You might want to do some searching at Microsoft, but I'm pretty sure I'm right about that.
