I work for a cell phone company and I need to write a VB program to send a standard text message to multiple phones every day.  I plan to connect to our SMSC gateway using SMPP to send the text messages.  I saw a mention of devshock.com, but their website is down for development.  Does anyone know an alternate site that I can get some of their free code or another reliable source for free code that will allow me to communicate with the SMSC using SMPP to send text messages?  I was able to send a few messages using SmtpClient, as if they were emails, but it adds the return email address, which would make the message too long.

I downloaded easySMPP and opened it with VisualStudio.  I editted some of the values in the file smsc.cfg, but I still get Error.  I am trying to talk with our Primal SMSC server.  I have the address, but what is the Port??  Do I need to edit anything else???  If so, what?  Does anyone know where there is some helpful information about to configure and use the easySMPP classes???

I worked with our internal support person for the Primal SMSC server and he set me up with an ID, Password.  He also told me what values I should use for SystemType, AddrTon and AddrNpi.  I was able to send true text messages.  Now I need to figure out which parts of the easySMPP libraries I actually will need to send messages and leave out the ones which appear to be for the actual SMSC server.  If you can work with a working SMSC server, I suggest you try easySMPP for sending text messages from another machine to the SMSC server.
