Hi,

I have a dts package that imports from a textfile into a temp table and then calls some stored procs to work on that table.

It would be nice if i could give the marketing department a user interface so they click a button and it starts the job.

ideally they would then be notified when the job had finished.

is all this possible?

can u write a store procedure / query that run the dts package?
then in your interface, onclick will call a function that runs that store proc.

just like u run a dts from query analyzer
