DNS image resolution

Our DNS server does not seem to be able to resolve some images - amazon.co.uk, marks&spencer, slideshare.net. I seemed to have found entries for workaround turning off the EDNS0 feature but as I do not have a full backup of our DNS server available I'm a bit cautious to run the comand:  dnscmd /config /enablednsprobes 0. Has anyone been able to resolve issues with images not resolving?

You can safely disable EDNS without any significant negative impact on your DNS server. Alternatively you re-configure your Firewall so that it doesn't discard the extended UDP packets; which it will be if turning off EDNS helps.

Don't be concerned about the backup for this change. It is a very minor one and doesn't have to be permanent: /enableednsprobes 1 will re-enable the option.

Hi Chris,

thank you. I've tried to run the command after installing support tools but it did not resolve issues with images. At least I've learnt a new command :-)
