How do I stop a Mailer-Daemon?

A user in our organization is getting about 2500 Delivery Delayed messages in her inbox a day.  It appears that she's responsible for sending out these messages, but she's not.  She's receiving email bounce-back messages from a mailer-daemon that were not hers to begin with.  What is causing this problem and how do we stop it?  I have attached a copy of the error.  Thanks in advance.

Hello CityOfRome,

Looks like a spammer has spoofed the user address and sent out spam using the user's address in From field. When servers bounce the spam, the emails come back to the user.  There is not much you can do.  The spam attack subside after a couple of days.

Make sure your computer is not an open relay

and

If you have control of the server, you can Integrate SPF and DomainKeys, which would help to stop spoofing in the future:

SPF:
http://www.openspf.org/

DomainKeys:
http://domainkeys.sourceforge.net/

Hope this helps!

the links provided are to complex for beginners.  Expert should simplify how spf and domainkeys are used.
