Old Reminders wont go away
Outlook 2003 SP3 and Exchange Server 2003 SP2
All users have a problem where old reminders, even though they have been deleted, keep coming up, daily, weekly or monthly however it was originally configured. I did a outlook command line switch to clear reminders but it still happens.

What do you mean PST files, we dont use PST files.
Hi,
See PST files are created when you archive your mails.
See under Outlook --> File --> Archvie, you can move mails to a local file (.pst)
To open this file it is File -> Open -> Data File
What I am trying to say here is check if there are any PST files attached, or if you do not use any PST files, then search for them and delete/move to backup location(while Outlook is open)
And let me know what you get
Thanks
Nitin

i do have a archive pst folder. what does that have to do with old reminders?
Well, if the event/appointment/task that has reminders set is in calender in PST and it is attached, it would still pop up

ok, after trying to open that archive file i discovered it does not exist. When i look at the archive setting you mention its says to archive to x folder\archive.pst. but that file does not exist.
Ok, then delete the Outlook Profile and recreate it.
Let me know

I have recreated the profile, in fact i have un-installed office and re-installed office (which i also asked a question on here, which was never resolved, since there seems to be no way to fully uninstall office). I have even given one user a new computer, built from scratch with no image and it still happens. It happens to me also and i will recreate my profile shortly but there is no way to speed up the notifications, since the next old notification is the weekly tues meeting that keeps showing up.
