MySQL - How to enable Startup Variables in Administrator

hi,

Everytime I open MySQl Administrator, I get an error informing me that the config file could not be found. Startup variables and service section are therefore disabled.

I need this service enabled. Any idea how I go around doing this?? I am using Windows OS NOT Linux. I am a novice user at MySQL. Can you please help me sort this problem out.
