Hi,

I have a movie clip and when tested in Macromedia Flash, the result is perfect. However, when I embed the swf file in a simple html page and run it from my localhost, the movie clip slows down - and bdw, I have a preloader. Any logical reasons behind this? Is it possible to improve the performance?

I already set the jpeg compression to 40% which reduced the file to 680kb. I also have two images which are png and their file size was around 820kb each. Obviously I reduced their size in Flash.

Thanks for your help.

when you test your Flash file in the IDE, run it with your bandwidth profiler and with the simulate download settings.
thing is even if you're running off your LAN there are buffering issues.what does your file do, 680kb is pretty large. whats your cPu usage while u're running it.
