How to rename virtual servert instance of SQL Server 2005 active-active cluster
Good Day,
My company has a 2-node active-active cluster with 6 virtual server instances (each with its own resources e.g. hard drive, quorum etc).
We currently have a virtual service instance with instance name,SQLServer Agent,Full Text and Analysis Services named to a environment that was recently migrated off the cluster.
We want to put a new environment in its place with the deletion of the old and addition of some new databases. We would like the network name to remain the same but the above(instance,agent..etc) renamed to the new application that would reside in that virtual server instance.
Please inform me how I can easily go about this.
Regards
Sean
