removing 2000 adding me

I want to uninstall windows 2000 and add windows me. Have tried to reformat and will not let me.

When you ask a question, you need to provide details.

Such as WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU DOING?  HOW, EXACTLY, are you trying to format the drive?  You can't format C: from within Windows.  You would need to use FDISK to remove the existing partitions and create new ones, then to format the drive as FAT32.

But why do you want to step backwards?  Windows Me is widely regarded as one of the worst Microsoft Operating Systems ever.  2000 is FAR more stable.
