Quickbooks POS 6.0 giving "Operation not supported on selected printer"

I was troubleshooting QB POS taking a long time to print a receipt and in doing so, reinstalled the drivers from the QB POS CD.  Since then, I've been receiving the error "Operation not supported on selected printer" error when trying to print a receipt.

I've reinstalled the printer driver numerous times.  I can print test pages from the printers control panel, other programs, etc.  I've gone as far as reinstalling QB POS, to no avail.  I contacted Intuit and paid for their support but all they could tell me to do was reinstall the drivers and POS (which I had already done).  They then tried to pass the buck to Dell/Epson who passed it back to Intuit saying the printer is working, the driver is working and that it's a POS issue.

Has anybody dealt with this horrible beast who can help me?

Not sure if this would have an issue or not but QB use to have an issue where if the printer name was too long it would use it.. Not sure how long the name of the printer is but try something short like QBRP.

Disputer your CC charge for the quickbooks help.

Thanks for the suggestion, I gave it a shot.  Unfortunately it didn't make a difference.

I've also tried numerous versions of the printer driver from different sources, all yieliding the same result.

I will be disputing the charge with Intuit (as soon as they open again) and possibly my credit card company.  I was appalled at the brush off from support and the supervisor I spoke to tonight.
You arent the only one who has had the issue but doing a google search you are the only two...

If windows can print to the printer no problems then is a QB issue.. crappy software.. it's ok it will be fixed in QB2009 and only cost you 1000 to upgrade..
This one looked promising, I even installed the TM-T88IV driver from multiple versions.  Same error.  The frustrating thing about this issue is that it was working previously.

XP, trying a system restore right now.  Worked this morning until I reinstalled the driver.

Working on it remotely and may have locked myself out of it.  Will probably have to run in to the office in the morning.  Doh.
ah.. good luck...
This was the piece I was skipping that finally got me there.  I ended up having to reinstall POS and the drivers again after the system restore but I was able to print and after the update to R10 the printing sped up again for whatever reason.

Thank you!
