I have struggled with this for a while now. I bought a new HTC Touch Pro yesterday and when i shold set it up for sync with our exchange it just wont work. My old device syncs just fine.
I have the following configuration:
Windows server 2008, Exchange 2007, no SSL, no cert.
HTC Touch Cruise, WM 6.0 - works fine
HTC Touch Pro, WM 6.1 - not working
I get the following Error messages:
When connected to the PC, "The server could not be reached. This could be caused by temporary network conditions" Support Code: 0x80072EE2
When not connected, Support Code: 0x85010001
