Microsoft SQL Server Login- Connedction failed- SQL State: "s1000"- [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver] Cannot generate SSPI context

I've checked all the ODBC connections to this server and they all tested fine.. and this error only happens randomly.. and its really aggravating.

You're using Windows Authentication, right?

You're having intermittent problems with your domain controller.  Check its event log thoroughly.

This is not a simple issue, as there are multiple possible causes.  Please check:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811889

for the most common cases.  The blog posting at:

http://blogcastrepository.com/blogs/noel-davies_uk_ltd/pages/Howto-_2D00_-Troubleshoot-_1C20_Cannot-Generate-SSPI-Context_1D20_-Errors-.aspx

is also a good discussion on this subject, and may be very helpful to you.  I would start with the blog posting, as it is generally more readable.

Sorry for abandoning this.  (It was actually asked by my daughter.)  Please split points as you proposed and close.

Thanks, all.
