Save or Archive Disabled Users Mailboxs Offline

Using Exchange 2000.  Servers on MS Server 2000, SP4. We have a requirement to maintain all files and email for terminated staff.  We want to move the users home folder offline and add their mail file.  Is there a mechanism in Exchange 2000 to export or dave a users's mailbox.  As there are currently over 100 disabled user accounts, we would like to not have to create individual Outlook accounts and export to PST files.  Currently the email for all terminated employees is maintained in Exchange.

It is a two-step process, but you, at this point, will only complete one process...copying the mailboxes to a .pst file. At some point later, should you need to view the contents of any of the mailboxes, you would then run ExMerge again and import the .pst back in to a mailbox.

At this point, just select to copy the mailbox to a .pst fille...saving it wherever you want to keep it archived.

Why not use the ExMerge Tool?  If you're unfamiliar with the tool, you can install it from your Exchange 2000 CD > Support\Utils\I386\Exmerge folder.

Help me understand please.  I would run the exmerge on the Exchange server in a 2 step merge, then will have the ability to select jyst those mailboxes that are for the employees that have left the company?
