I am looking for 2 things here implementation of the following sort:

where I would be able to pass the user's address or the zip code and I should be able to pass the other zip codes that are retrieved in the search. Then I would have to dynamically determine the distances between the addresses probobly using the mapquest or google maps webservices and also render the image file like that you guys see in the following link.

Remember I will have to do this in Java scrit or java.

    Hi!

There are several Geospacial Open Source Software that you can look at
http://java-source.net/open-source/geospatial
http://geo-google.sourceforge.net/usage.html
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/services.html
Look at the GDirections on the GoogleMaps services

Hi Guys,

thanks for the response but the issue that I am facing is that I am struck with java1.4 version and the google API  needs the 1.5 version of Java. Hence I was wondering if there was some kind of silver bullet even with the map quest or any other Implementations that I could bite.
