Hi i am geeting the OutofMemory Error in Production WebSphere 6.1 AIX box.We increased the heap size to 1ghz.after that also we are getting the same error.please help me regarding this

i am geeting the OutofMemory error in Websphere 6.1 in AIX.we already increased the heap size to 1 GB.Still we are having the same issue.

Please help me regading this.

What type of AIX machine? Use "prtconf" to show this. What level of AIX? Use "uname -a". What kernel is running? Use "bootinfo -y".

Some Java versions allocates small allocations using stack.
Post java --version and oslevel -r output in addition to sjm_ee's asked info.

This Heap Analyzer tool is very useful in figuring out what caused an OOM

I had simillar problem, when I start/stop web app from admin console often. My web app use encache . So when I stop web app, i did not stopped encache manually created threads, and after few stop/start i get out of memory error. How I get this info - using ibm heapanalyzer  (link above), and generated head dumps. SOlution was to add shutdown for encache manager on some destroy servlet method.

Maybe you have simillar problem...
