PSD Shell Extension Errors

The original problem was that XP would not save my Desktop settings. I used Registry Mechanic but this did
not solve the problem. I now have PSD Shell Extension Problems even after de-installing RM.
The error messages include: C_PsdRsDll and SpURsDll missing

The error appears to have been generated by Hewlett-Packard software named Embedded Security for HP ProtectTools and may be the result of Registry Mechanic.  Try removing the HP application, then rechecking.

The cause of this error message to appear is also apparantly due to using a registry cleaner, details here>

The information in that last thread should resolve the "SpURsDll missing" problem, so both seem related to using Registry Mechanic, & a number of guys appear to have been having the same problem.
Another possible option is to try System Restore to a time before you ran Registry Mechanic.
