Where do I install php_PDF.dll on my Linux VPS?

Hey,

I've using a PowerVPS server, however I've noticed it doesnt have PDF support installed, I've found out I need to upload php_PDF.dll and uncomment the line in php.ini and restart apache, but I cannot find the location I need to install the .dll file in to...

Does anyone know?

For linux server you do not use the dll file, it's for windows - linux has it's own version and it called so files (share object).

The location of the extensions files (.so files) are configured in the php.ini under the directive: extension_dir

yeah i thought the dll was windows, but I was googling linux pdf and had loads of info saying install the dll file...

so what is the pdf file I need to install, I did a google on PDF so files, however I doesnt seem to find anything...

If you have full rights on your server, you can install this using the distro tools.

PDF extension is a PECL extension, here you can find how to install PECL extensions on your machine:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.pecl.php
