Concurrent POP3 connections hanging server.

I am currently having issues with a server hanging up and constantly hanging.

My server load seems to gradually buildup over a week and i can gaurentee every sunday it needs to be rebooted.
I am currently monitoring my server using cacti and mrtg and the only thing that climbs in the same way my load does id my pop3 concurrent connections.

I was wondering if there is a known bug somewhere that i can fix or patch

I originally had my connections set to 100 which i have now set to 30, it isnt that the process is using masses of resource it must be that there must be a load of processes

exec tcpserver -H -R -v -c30 0 110 qmail-popup HOSTNAME\
/home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw qmail-pop3d Maildir 2>&1

This issue has now been resolved.

The issue turned out to be related to and issue with a mailbox that had far too much mail in it and was taking longer to collect the mail than the client was set to retry collection.

The client was simply putting load on the server when requesting a list of message this list was so loarge the client never completed and was repeatedly looping this cycle
