Dear Experts

I am using SQL 2005, Dreamweaver and ASP Classic.

Currently we have a page which includes a form with a dynamic drop down list populated by the database.  The drop down list is populated by records held in an address book which is becoming very large.

What we would like to do is change the drop down list to be dynamically populated from the database after the user types the first few characters into a form box.

By way of example we would like to achieve  something alone the lines of the Google suggest search form field where after typing the first few characters a drop down list appears which match the characters typed.

Can anyone offer some guidance on how to achieve this?

Thanks

Grant

The YUI AutoComplete http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/autocomplete/ is an excellent component to achieve this functionality. There are numerous examples at http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/examples/autocomplete/index.html
