Hi guys!

I need some help, how do make the same thing that ShowDialog does but still let the form be able for GUI updates from a server. If the server need to update the client GUI with some data and I have used the ShowDialog method what happens then?

Can I make another thread for the aboutform and set Enable = false to the main form?
or is it just ok to use .show and disable the mainform and in the aboutform enable the main form  again when the user close it?  can owner be used here?

      Dim dlg As AboutBox = New AboutBox
        AboutBox.ShowDialog()

some tips?

you can try the LOCK property for the main form. it lets you updates objects thru code on the main form but will be untangible by the user.
