myphpadmin error

I have been trying to import an database from one hosting company to another. I have created the data via control panel and i assigned full access to the main user account.

When I import the database i get the following error:

Error
SQL query:

--
-- Database: `U1175941`
--
CREATE DATABASE `U1175941` DEFAULT CHARACTER SET latin1 COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci;
MySQL said:
#1044 - Access denied for user 'kitchen_admin'@'%' to database 'U1175941'

Im no DBA but Im assuming i can get around.

Any idea?

Do you have the privileges to create a database?

You can check your privileges by clicking on the privileges link on the phpmyadmin home page.

Unless you are logged in as root (which has ALL privileges), usually you have only limited privileges.

I get an error ACCESS DENIED CREATE DATABASE db_name when I try to import a database

In order to solve this issue follow these steps:

   1. Open the mysql dump with a text editor on your local pc / mac;
   2. Delete the line saying "CREATE DATABASE yourdbname". Usually this line is found in the very beginning of the file;
   3. Save the file and try to import it again.

Try this.
