I have a windows application which I developed in c# and Visual studio 2005.
My application is rather slow and takes between 5 to 15 seconds to run depending on the speed of computer. I'd like to show a banner to the user while is loading. What is the best way to do it? A lind to a good example or tutorial would be desirable.

I believe that the term you are looking for is called a 'spash screen' or 'splash window':

The links are great. With the right introduced keywords I can also find some other resources. Good.
