Hi there, i am building a facebook application where privacy of users is mostly important. I want to be able to show pictures of users but not show names. however when you request a picture of a user on facebook the pictures name contains his/her id. Thus its very easy to track down the user profile for that person.
Is there a way to either change the filename or to not allow every user to be able to save the image so he/she cant get the name of the file?

since images are called and identified by user id then you will need to save the images to your server, remove the id info, and show the images to the visitor.

I'm not sure but it seems they don't allow it. you will have to code it yourself and substitute user ids with salted md5 hashes.
