C++ add text to image

I want to write an application which will put a watermark on an image, and save it, how can i do so with C++.
Notes:
This application will run on Windows, Mac and Linux.

You will need to choose a cross-platform library. Maybe QT (expensive but powerful) or wxWdigets (free)

where can i find this wxWdigets?
And i think QT is for building forms and controls, it can manage images manipulations as well?

yes, QT can manage several types of bitmaps.

For wxWidgets, you need to use wxBitmap class: http://docs.wxwidgets.org/2.6/wx_wxbitmap.html

but are you sure i can add text to image and save it again using this class:wxBitmap ?
